LORI BARNETT

SHE/HER/HERS

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working with adult clients.

It is my belief that mutual trust and respect between client and clinician are the most important tools in establishing a healthy therapeutic relationship, and these principles are the foundation of my practice. In addition to that, I use a variety of clinical interventions to help clients achieve their goals, including:

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Mindfulness

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

I’ve been privileged to have spent the past decade working with a highly diverse group of clients, representing a wide mix of ethnicities, faiths, sexual orientations, gender identities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My experience as a clinician has been greatly enriched by the wide spectrum of people and issues I have encountered.

My clients have included older adolescents and adults at the Kean University Counseling Center, and children, adults and seniors at Jewish Family Services of Northern New Jersey.
